Riding Camps

2010 Summer Day Camps

Our summer day camp program will be available to children between the ages of 8 and16. Children at all levels of riding will enjoy a full morning of riding instruction from a certified instructor and will participate in many other fun and engaging activities throughout the day. Campers will participate in mounted games, hacking, stable management and horsemanship workshops, arts and crafts, sports and games. Our knowledgeable counselors will help campers learn about daily horse care, safety, care of tack & equipment, and riding skills in a fun and stimulating atmosphere.

Regular students of Havencrest who are working towards their EC Rider levels and Stable Management are encouraged to join our camp program as it is a great way to gain further knowledge and riding experience.

Campers will be divided into groups according to age and level. All sessions run from 9:00am until 4:00pm. Before and after camp care can be provided for an extra fee. Campers should come prepared with proper footwear and appropriate riding breeches or slim fitting pants. Riding helmets will be provided if needed but campers are advised to purchase their own properly fitted riding helmets.

Please provide a bag lunch and drinks for your child. Every Friday is Pizza day!

Campers will be put into groups according to age and riding ability. Parents registering their child for camps before May 1st will not have to pay HST.

What to Bring

Properly fitted ASTM riding helmet

Breeches or tight fitting jeans or leggings

Paddock boots or boots with a hard sole and heel of no less than 1.5cm

Change of clothes (i.e. shorts and running shoes, extra t-shirt)

Cost and Cancellation Policy

Total cost is $341.25 (includes GST) per person before May 1, 2010 and $367.25 (includes HST) after May 1 and must be paid in full upon registration. Cancellations prior to 21 days before the first day of camp will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 21 days before the first day of camp will receive a full refund minus a $75.00 administration fee. Cancellations within 7 days prior to the first day of camp will not be refunded any amount.

To register, you must print out and complete the Camp Registration form, Policies and Medical Form and Waiver and drop off these forms in the Havencrest office with payment.
